Tools, products, and building codes change. This page explains how BuildToolHQ keeps guides current and what to do if you spot something outdated.
When We Update Guides
We revisit guides when a product gets discontinued or replaced, when a code reference is updated, or when we find an error in our own research. Updates aren't cosmetic — a "last updated" change reflects a real content change, not a formatting pass.
How We Verify Accuracy
Technical claims are checked against manufacturer technical data sheets, ICC-ES evaluation reports, and code documents like ACI 318-19 and the IRC — see our full Editorial Policy for the complete research process.
Found Something Outdated?
If a product link is broken, a spec looks wrong, or a code reference is out of date, tell us and we'll check it. We'd rather fix an error than leave it live.
